Club Still taking new members? I'd like to submit my bid! I have 24 inch MOZ shine 24x10 15 offest, 255/30/24 with 1/4" spacers. No rolled fenders or anything else. No rubbing anywhere and the control arm bolt was filed down a little.

Looks good moe. Well done. That's great that you're not catching the inside of the fender even w/o rolling them.

Anyone have any rubbing issues after dropping their car down with some springs or bags?

I'm in the UK Looking for Platinum Shields 24"

Hey Peeps,

Just bought my 300C Hemi 5.7 ('07 reg) here in the UK and I've been desperately trying to buy some 24" Platinum Shields but I can't find a Wheel/Tyre dealer who sells them here. Getting them shipped from the United States is too much of a hassle in addition to the risk of damage during transport overseas.

Anyone know any UK dealers?

24x10 ?

I know lots of peepz have 24x10 rims.....but how much do they rub? the wheel center here said 24x10 are a nightmare and he was convincing me to go with either 24x9 or 24x9.5....but i really want to get some dropstars or TIS wheels which are all mostly 24x10... i just want to know how much of a nightmare it really is with 24x10? and which tire size would be the best

Modifications Needed

I'm currently running the 24x10 Lorenzo WL15's with the 275/25/24 series tire and had issues with rubbing. Everytime I would go over adip, the body would drop and catch the fenders a little. Instead of rolling the fenders, I just had the plastic wheel well covers shaved and the surrounding fender shaved down, maybe 1/2 an inch taken off. Haven't had any issues since. I love my wheels, and everybody seems to only talk about the positive aspects of having them, but there are some negatives:
1) You definitely lose on gas mileage. Using the a/c during the summer has some affect as well, but I went from averaging about 18 to 19 mpg, to about 12 or 13.
2) I wouldn't suggest putting 24's on anything without the hemi. I had the 2.7, and I had 22's on it, and it had alot of lag. Even on my hemi I can feel the difference in acceleration with the 24's.
3) There are also issues with handling at high speeds. I've intentionally tried to push it to see whether there were any issues with stopping, cornering, or even top speed. The major issue is that the steering wheel becomes extremely loose at a high rate of speed with the wheels on.

These are just the issues that I've encountered so far. None of these would have changed my decision to purchase my wheels because I'm willing to accept the consequences that I may face to achieve the look that I want. Don't always take the first opinion you get because some people are just completely turned off to the idea of large wheels, or any aftermarket wheels for that matter. Hopes this is helpful to anyone!!!!!

You can check my 300c out at http://www.cardomain.com/ride/3336674 let me know what you think!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!

I just installed my 24X9 platinum shield yesterday. No rubbing or anything. I'm running 255/30/24 Toyo Proxes. "I did have to shave that bolt waaaaaay down. Here's a tip for anyone who's putting on 24's. After shaving the bolt down, for a little added safety, I drilled a hole throung the bolt and inserted a cotter pin. The feeling of having big wheels is amazing. I'm here in Japan, and NO ONE ELSE is riding 24's over here. When I left the hobby shop yesterday, on the way home, I literally almost made three people wreck, because they were rubber necking! [IMG][/IMG]

-ROOFTOP as far as platinum Shields, when I ordered mine and had them shipped to JAPAN, the guy told me that I was getting the last set in the states. I didn't really believe that. I don't see why he wouldn't ship them to europe. For total cost and shipping to JAPAN I paid $2,700. Here's the website Welcome to Wheel and Tire Online. Give it a try and ask for kellen.

Is there anything you can do to Alleviate the heavy shaking at top speeds with the 24's on?
