Tire pressure sensor elimination

I just put a set of 20" wheels on my 300C. My car was equiped with tire pressure sensors but the new wheels do not have them. How can I eliminate the warning that shows up in my dash?

The system can't be disabled, you need new sensors in the new wheels unless you like the ding ding ding!

On my other car, I put a little piece of black electrical tape over the idiot light. Not classy but cheaper than buying the sensors.

When I switched to 22" wheels, I just had them switch the sensors to the new wheels too. I've had no problems at all.

Depends on where you buy them, but yes, they can be that low.

Covering over the light only solves 5% of the problem. It doesn't nothing for the annoying ding - which is the other 95% of the problem.

Not sure if they'll fit in 25 series tires, but they certainly fit in 30 series w/ no problem!

I figured out how to fix it. I got 4 new sensors at wholesale from the dealer for $30.75 each. Tomorrow for 75 bucks Les Schwabs will dismount the tires, install the sensors, remount and balance the tires.

I had my wife take the car to Les Schwabs today to install the sensors. It took them about a hour . They only charged me $34 to install them since they did not have to rebalance the tires. All four sensor now read properly so all is well.

Wouldn't they need to be re-balanced?? Seems that would add just enough weight to throw them out of balance at speed.....
