Sevas S-10s...Good News/Bad News

Well...decided to step up and go for some 22s to fill out the wheel a bit more, however I wanted a 3-piece look w/o the 3-piece price (really don't like the idea of my wife banging up $1,000 wheels).

So, I went w/the Sevas S-10s in Black (too bad I can't get them in Silver):

Good News:

Got a package deal from my local Discount Tire for....

$2800 OUT THE DOOR w/new Hankook Ventus 265-35/295-30 tires! That INCLUDES NEW tire pressure sensors AND 9% sales tax!

Not bad eh?

Bad News: gotta wait 40 DAYS at least to get them!

Oh well.

Too bad about the wait.

If you really want silver, just pay to have the centers sprayed. Shouldn't cost you more than 300$. Looking forward to seeing them mounted up.

Yeah, I may do that eventually. I'd rather start w/black rims and slightly scuff the paint and re-shoot in silver, than to start w/chrome rims.

Once I get them, I'll see how easy it is to pop off those fake rivets. Otherwise, it's $0.65each for those suckers if they break off when removing them.

I'll prolly run w/black centers for awhile, and when we get bored w/that, I'm thinking a bright, metallic silver powder coat.

They wanted $120/wheel for the powder coat, but I wanted to make sure that the rivets can be removed somewhat easily. Don't want a crappy job w/the old paint (or chrome) showing.

Did they confirm that the sensors would fit as I have been getting mixed reports back that they may not. Still waiting on a definite answer before I purchase mine.

Also its funny you can't find silver as I am finding it hard to get black.

They say they use OEM ones, but provide them cheaper than what you're normally charged by the dealer. Whatever.

They don't make them in silver! At least, not for LX cars. Only in BMW bolt patterns! Weak!

It's hard to find black ones, which is why they told me 40 days! As if I'm Noah or something???

You might pay a slight performance penalty due to the increased weight. Although the Sevas wheels are pressure cast unlike most cast wheels they are reasonably light for cast wheels. Not as light as a good quality forged wheel.
