You can upgrade with out changing the brakes. But you should be looking at a good quality wheel. I a m running 22x9 with 255/30/22 tires. The ride is excellent. My rims are a one piece forged (30lb. ea.), most cast 22" rims weigh 45lb. ea.. That will have a lot to do with ride quality and handling.

When I was looking at 22" rims, I originally was looking at cast rims. Then after talking with Shorline Motoring and getting educated I started looking at forged rims. The cast rims would of added unsprung weight, which affects ride, handleing, wear and tear. The average cast 22" rim with tire is 75lb., my rims and tires weigh 56lb. When Paul at Shoreline test drove the car he said it was the best handleing "C" or Magnum he's ever driven, it's was also the first forged rim they've done. The cost of going to a forged rims start at $4500 with tires and as high as $8000+ for three piece. I would say this is the way to go, the car rides and handles great. The price for cast was between $2800-$3300(with tires).

The rims are Raceline Forged. My car was used for the test fit and the rims are a one off. They will have something available in a couple of month.

Looks great, incredible wheel, did you lower it? You I think are the first to list your upgraded wheel weight/tire though many have asked about it for months from other members, someone posted the stock wheel tire weighs 58 lbs which is why yours rides and handles so well and you do not need to upgrade your brakes. You should start a new thread on the benefits of forged wheels (and OMG the cost, do you own a bank? LOL) I would love to do something like this but I lost my winning MegaMillion ticket worth 112 million so I'm back to square one.

BTT...Fatchance...did you use Eibach or H&R springs to lower it?

That's a nice stance. Perfect.

The car has the Eibach 1.6" drop kit. The rear sits a little high IMO, but the ride is excellent. Before

Hey fatchance, I was actually looking into getting those same wheels a while back. Did you go with the forged 1 piece "Stature" or the forged 3 piece "Titan"? Is there really much difference in weight bewteen the 1 piece forged and the 3 piece forged?

Also, did you install the Eibach coils yourself, and if so, was it hard? Nice ride by the way! ;D
