Steering wheel shaking

OK when I first got my rims all 4 were balanced anf I know for a fact there were weights on all for rims. Well the passenger front rim had got bent on the inside lip so I had it repaired. The rim looks perfectly round but I noticed it doesn't have any weights on it. I called the shop and he claimed it didn't need to be balanced but I'm thinking if the other shop had to put weights on it the first time why all of a sudden wouldn't it need weights now? Sometimes I experience shaking in the steering wheel at speeds over 40 MPH so do you guys think I need to have the rim balanced? I need to find the problem before I go out of town this weekend.

damn man take it somewhere to have it balanced. if that guy did not put it on a balancer to verify the balance...then i would have that done elsewhere. that would be a good culprit to your problem.

yea you need it balanced for sure. All wheels have weights on them even from the factory. No wheel should have nothing on it. I would take it somewhere, its not expensive to get that done.
