That is harsh. A horrible feeling too-

Did you have any wheel locks, and if so what kind?

I am running a fulll set of Gorilla locks (all 20 lugs) and can't imagine someone getting them off without noisy tools. I am more afraid of the entire car getting stolen...

Sorry to hear this.

In the words of Bill Clinton "Ahh Feel, Your Pain...."

That's why I bought cheap 22" cast wheels with a big shiny chrome finish. Under 600 for just the wheels, tires cost more than the wheels. RVM Rave is the brand. Looks good, a little heavy, but I'm still pulling 5.1 0-60's.

Again. We appreciate your love for your ride and putting some classy wheels on there, but to have anything nice in this world anymore is pretty tough.... Best of luck

the Dubs and Toyos

I actually posted that link before I had taken the car above 70mph on the freeway. The DUBS were a pain in the ass and no shop i could find could get them balanced. They even tried 2 different sets to no avail...and the wheel would wobble like crazy. Made it a dissapointment to drive...sad thing. Anyway, I returned them and paid the difference to upgrade to the Giovannas.

I am actually not minding so much that the Giovannas were stolen because, surprising as it may sound, the quality was WAY sub par. I had to go to a different tire shop (than the one I purchased from) to get them balanced because they did the same thing as the DUBS. The second tire shop I went to had a Hunter 9700 force balancer GSP9700 Road Force Measurement System, which I found after doing all kinds of research on tire balancing, and when I watched the wheel as it rotated, they were all out of round by at least 1/4 inch...it was absurd how bad it was. Not only out of round but it wobbled from side to side (not sure what that's called). This was on 2 different machine spindles. The machine would come back with a warning that "force balancing can not correct this assembly". I think I might try Asanti's or maybe go back to stock???
I am still very dissapointed that I didn't catch them doing that...it was pretty "in your face" bold and deserving of a considerable thrashing. The whole mess is eating at me right now...and I just sold the stock rims and tires 2 weeks ago!

This is why when I finally get my rims I'm investing in some good lock nuts and a top of the line security system. I'm also trying to get an apartment with a 1 car garage so I can at least sleep peacefully.

Sorry about your wheels man.
