Alright, I know that this topic has been absolutely discussed to death, but I'm about to pull the trigger on this and I need some feedback from those of you with experience on the 24" wheels...
Right now, I'm on the fence, I can't choose between 22s and 24s. Either way, I'll be getting the U2 35, I love that wheel and the price is right... but here are some concerns that I have...
I commute a total of about 2 and a half hours every day and the roads around here aren't pretty... there seems to be perpetual construction, potholes, road resurfacing... it's ugly year round... am I just going to bang them up after a week or so of driving to work?
I have a 3.5L... will my car even move with 24s on it? It's going to be a huge difference in performance/fuel mileage, isn't it? And then if I do get it moving.... how about slowing and stopping?? A brake upgrade would probably be in order, although I would imagine that even with the 22s, it'd be a good idea.
With a 255/30/24 tire and a 24x9 (9.5??) rim with +13mm offset, is lowering even going to be an option? With the 22s and maybe a rolled fender, I know I can do a 2" drop or so... 24s look unreal, but I think I prefer the look of 22s and a bit of a drop, now if dropping it a couple of inches on 24s was a possibility... hmmm...
So, what do you guys think? The guy that owns the wheel shop has an LX on 24s, so I'll get some input from him, but you guys aren't trying to sell me wheels and tires, so gimme some unbiased pros and cons

That to me says you will hate 22s and you'll hate 24s even more. I love the look of my 22s, but if I had to drive on crappy roads every day and for that length of period...well, I woud've already returned my 22s!!!
20s will even be pushin' it for you. G'luck w/ whatever you choose.

LOL, damnit... THAT is not at all what I wanted to hear... Thank you for your honest input though, that's exactly what I need...
But... since I'm dead set on getting some rims, I'll chalk that up as one vote for 22s...

I'm with NotYet. Don't even consider 24s if you drive that far everyday and you know the roads aren't the best. I have 22s and went a little further and got a 35 profile tire.
You'd love the 24s in pics and when you first got them installed, but you'd grow to hate them over the bumpy roads and even more if you had to replace a wheel or two down the road because of damage...

Oh...by the way, I considered 24s too.

my dilemma was the same as yours when deciding between 2's or 4's. Being my current driver, i chose 22's but i've heard that the difference in ride between the 2 is little if even noticable at all. I dont think the ride has deteriorated going 22's and i wouldnt hesitate to get 24's if i were to get another set of shoes.
TOPMOTORSPORTS has 24's on his charger with i believe over 25k and he swears by them....
as a sidenote, the U2 wheels are sooo cheap that it wouldnt break your back to replace one (should you hit a basketball hoop sized hole in the road)
