tire size question

hey guys,
I'm wanting to run a 295/40-20 in the rear, but having a hard time finding a company that makes that size rear tire with a comparable front tire that matches the diameter (28.8-29.2"). Also, most seem to be H rated.

Will be running a 20 x 8.5 front with a 20 x 10 rear. Trying to keep close to the stock tire diameter as I am not planning to lower the car.

Any help or recomendations would be greatly appreciated.

BTW,

Diablosport has released the Predator. We are looking into the custom tuning software side of that now. Once we tune my car, I will post the results.

295/40r20 ?

Use a 245/45/20 for the front Goodyear RSA.
I dont think that the 295/40/20 will work without some modification to the sheetmetal.

Hey Ethan,
I just got off the phone with Joe (xt 361) @ Tirerack. My company has an account with you guys.

I'm just concerned about the RSA quality- seems people either love them or hate them...whats your opinion?

On the 295's, will I just need to roll the fender lips? What about a 285?

Thanks for chiming in.

I looked at 22's, but honestly, I have a Vette that all modded out, not trying to go to crazy with this car. I just want a different style wheel, trying to keep the ride quality atleast where it's at now. Don't want to lower this car either. This is my daily driver, plus don't want to add any more weight to the rotating mass. It's making 390rwhp now and we're hoping that once we can custom tune (hopefully by the end of this month we'll have tuning software) we can get around 410 rwhp. Then it's done for a while.

I like Goodyear RSA tires. They are comfortable and have a confident grip of the road. Yes there are better tires out there, but if you really want to stick with the 295/40/20 this is your only option.

As far as the modification needed, I'd like to throw that one out to the rest of the members here.

Anybody sucessfully use a 295/40/20?
