the steering kickback is better with 18K miles

However despite the fact that the car now has 18K miles, the steering is still too sensitive to bumps. For example my watch is on pretty tight but it rattles from holding the steering wheel when the car goes over bumps.

I would say no, the irritating and noticeable jolts are mostly gone.
Before lowering the pressure, when I would drive around town I was jolted into noticing the ride Now the car is not "grabbing" my attention with the jolting ride anymore.
I have about 4400 miles on the car and maybe the suspension is softening up a little, and maybe I am getting more accustom to the ride. But the ride seemed to immediately improve after lowering the pressure about a month ago.

Okay thanks, why use 29, since it recommends 30 on the door rating. My tires are at 32. Is there a difference between 29 and 30?

I used 29lbs as an experiment to see if tire pressure would effect the ride.
I am OK with the ride now, so I am leaving it at 29lbs. I used to have it at 32lbs. I don't know if 1 pound (29 vs 30) makes a difference.

okay i also dropped tire pressure

I set the tire pressure to 29 which was on a cold 26 degree day in the morning before tires had warmed up. The ride seams to be better. Less tug on the steering wheel from bumps. Although i am concerned that the pressure might be too low since the manual says to make adjustment for outside temperatures below 68 degrees. Did anyone follow this method where you have to raise the psi by 1 degree for every 12 degrees below 68?
If that is true then my tire is underpressured, but it does ride much better.
