HELP!! How do I tame the Vibrating Stearing Wheel from 55mph-80mph with 22" wheels?

I am sure this has been tackled before but having a problem finding where. I just got 22 x 9 (14 offset) on my 300C. I have Pirelli P-Zero's 265/35/22. Pu them on last night and noticed that when I hit 55mph the steering wheel starts to rattle pretty bad. As I get up to 75mph it gets a little better, than at 80mph it goes away.

I know that with 22" I will have to sacrifice the smoothness as stock, but is there anything I can do to limit the shake? Does anybody have experience or done anything to help? I noticed that the alignment is almost the same, but never know with California roads.

Thanks for your help and will have pics up soon

you should definately have them rebalanced. there shouldn't be any vibrations like you described, even with 22's.

Did they use spacers? If yes, you should have them order hub-centric rings and that should do it.

I'm surprised that you were able to use that tire on a 22x9 with a 14mm offset. I have 22x9 with 255/30/22 and 15mm offset. The 265/35/22 wouldn't even fit on my car. I have no vibration or rubbing, it rides smooth. My car also has the Eibach 1.6 drop kit.

I would rebalance and see if they used spacers.

more than likely you have spacers on the front htat your rim shop used. 99% of rim shops dont give a **** what they put on your car, more than likely they put on "universal" spacers, that are not drilled to be the same as your lug pattern on your car, this would be the reason for the shake. If you need spacers you can have a metal shop custom drill you some spacers out of billet, specifically to match your lug pattern, this way it eliminates the shake problem you are having. I have them on mine and I have no vibration or shake at all, and the ride is awesome. If you dont have spacers on your rims try the alignment.
