tire size?

anyone have any info on switching tires with the stock 300c rims? Can I go any bigger with the tire, maybe wider with a lower profile? How much bigger? What types of tires do you like for this in keeping the with the stock 18" rims?

Thanks,

Joe

the only other wider tire size for this rim is a BF Goodrich in 245/55/18.

re:

I know this might be a long shot... but would a 275/40/18 fit on the 300C wheel?

I assume I would lose turning radius... but would be willing to sacrifice a little because I got these tires used for free and would MUCH rather use them instead of the stockers.

Thanks in advance,

Nick

re:

Also...

What size is our stock rims again?... is it 8.5"?... will a 275/40/18 even fit on a 8.5" wide wheel...

The tire calculators I've found say that the tire is 7% off from stock.. which I'm not too concerned about... I just don't want much rubbing of the wheel (if at all) and don't want the wheel to look funny if the tire needs to be stretched over the rim or whatever.

majestic, the stock rim is only 7.5". A 275 width is too wide for the OEM rims.
