jhelmuth,

No problem guy. I've made one or two mistakes in my 63 years also<G>. We all understand where you were coming from. Your whole intent was for the good.

enjoy the weekend,

P.S. Thanks for the Web site. I printed it, now off to the tire store to shove it up someones backside.

Just had a dealer look at our tires today (11,500 miles on them) and two (back, of course!) are at 2/32. The front are 5/32 and 6/32. They will 'give' us two new back tires for $38 apiece. We will probably go this route for now, and after the front two are worn out, find a decent replacement set for all. Keep pushing it with Continental. Someone goofed big time with these tires.

What to do, that is the question???

Somebody hasn't been rotating and keeping an eye on their tires.
I saw "feathering" on the outer edges of my front tires at 8K miles. The stealership did an alignment under warranty ( it was way off) and rotated the tires with an admonishment that tire rotation is recommended at 6000 mile intervals.

Hey 1956, not only did DC goof with the tire selection they also goofed with the size, this tire is for a freakin SUV, the only alternative is BFG or 4-5 Continentals, oh I forgot the miserable Pirelli P6. Hey DC wake up, give us a tire in a size that Michelin, Bridgestone or Yoko makes. I would have taken 17s or even 16s to have a better selection of replacement tires. Hmmm, DC is German and Continental is German, makes you wonder what kind of deal they have, whatever it is, it's criminal.

I was next to an E class Bdnz at a stoplight the other day and it has the same crappy tires we do. You think we got ripped off! Talk about cheaping out. No wonder Mercedes is slipping in the surveys.
