New Tires - Bridgestone Turanza

Not sure if anyone has tried the Bridgestone Turanza's but I am going to give it a try. My thanks to the individual on the site that recommend Tirerack.com it was a big help. If anyone has any experience with these I'd love to hear but it will probably be too late anyway. I will probably check back before I go buy them but the Continentals have gotta go (I guess you gotta cut corners somewhere to keep the price down).

They are the same size as the Continental's. Going from memory here P255 R18 H class. They have a 50K warranty and rated well at Tirerack.com. They are on the car now and are quieter. Must be my imagination but the care feels like it reponds better when I push it. The ones I've gotten may not be the latest design though, as the sidewalls don't match what was shown on the pic on Tirerack. Not really the cheapest $178 each, buy 3 get 1 free. It is rated H class so in the performance catagory.

Let us know how the Bridgestone's work out. I think the majority of members have gone with the Goodyear Assurance Comfortreads. Another option in our size which ,please correct me if I'm wrong, is 225/60/18 is the Michelin Primacy MXV4.

Tire size is KO-rect, 225-60/18. Looks like more choices than in 8/05 when I replaced mine

The Michelin Primacy had a little better ranking than the Bridgestones at Tirerack.com but I got a better deal on the Bridgestones. I certainly like them around town. Haven't gotten them out on the highway much yet. I'll update after I've put some miles on em.

I talked with the Tirerack reps as I need to buy tires. They thought the Michelin was the best Touring tire...ie, smooth ride and quite.
They recommended the Firestone Firehawk, ($115 ea), if you're looking for better response and grip than a touring tire, but still want it to be quiet.

Not sure which way I'm going yet.
