How much negative camber for track days?
Well, I've run the fronts down again, doing 5 track days in about 5,000 miles of total driving.
So I'm figuring with that track day/mile ratio, It probably pays me to set the front tires with some negative camber. Obviously, that'll wear the insides during the daily drive, but I'm thinking there's a balance right now that will give me better wear at the track (as well as a little better performance on turn-in) that is viable.
I've seen fairly dedicated track machines running something like 2.5 degrees, but that seems fairly extreme (and I don't want to gamble on running the insides down TOO fast!), but if anyone has experience with it (especially with daily wear rates from driving to/from the tracks, etc) I'd appreciate it.
Thanks!
Steve
