TPMS solutions for aftermarket wheels (no drilling required)

I was under the impression I had to drill second holes in my 3 piece wheels to mount my TPMS sensors (as many have done), but due to an error in my wheel order resulting in no extra hole, I did some research into aftermarket solutions to mount my OEM tire pressure sensors in my 3-piece wheels and came up with the following.

These are the brackets I bought from I-Forged through themodcity.com . They were 70 bucks shipped, which seems really outrageous except that they are strong as heck and light as crap. I am sure you could contact any I-Forged dealer to see if they can get them for you, maybe cheaper. These didn't get mounted in my Intro 311's yet as they didn't arrive in time, but will be mounted friday... (EDIT, Mounted fine, no need for the valve cap... this is someone else's pic)

Here is another type bracket, cheaper ($30) but looks heavier (Welcome to GMP Performance "Quality Automotive Accessories"):

I also saw strap systems, but they were just an awful solution, but maybe someone else can use them. Basically they are large hose clamps..Here's an example:

I-Forged also makes a trick valve stem with a hoop to put the stem of your sensor through. I got the bracket system from them since I already had custom sized 90 degree stems installed, but maybe these might help someone. Check out the Iforged press release at iForged Press Release:

So stop drilling extra holes on 2-3 piece wheels, or listening to that chime every ten minutes. Also feel free to add your solutions to this thread as many folks will need ideas since TPMS are mandated in the US as of 2007 and wheel sensor systems like ours will increase in numbers.

good find bro, i actually had this same problem about a month ago, trying to mount tps in my asanti's. i like you thought i had to drill a new hole in the wheel to mount the tps. until another forum member told me asanti makes a adapter (similar to the last one shown) to mount the tps. so i called superbuy tires and ordered them. $25 bucks a piece (damn!!!!). but you got to have them. got them installed and everything is fine, no more annoying flashing and buzzing from the evic. woohoooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ouch! I don't feel so bad now about my $70 shipped. Looks like many manufacturers are coming online with TPMS solutions in the 2-3 Piece wheel market. Good deal! Thanks for the additional vendor info...

Trick the system

Just a thought. Why can't you take 4 TPM sensors, put them in a pressurized jar and add air until you get to 35 psi to trick the system. Then put the jar in the trunk and forget about it. I think this might work, does anyone know for sure?

Well, I suppose you could put them in your spare also... that has been done on other makes and was what the performance shop suggested, don't know how our system would respond.

I didn't go that route since I wanted mine to be functional. Anyone else try this?

are u serious??? if so i dont think that would work. i've been led to beleive there is a sensor outside of the tire at each corner of the vehicle (in the fenderwell) receiving the signals from the tps in each wheel. thats why u can rotate tires and still receive signal from the proper location. correct me if im wrong. my 2cents
