Maybe it's because I am an old fart who grew up when there was no such thing as low profile tires. These large diameter wheels with just a couple of inches of tire around the outside just don't do it for me. Sure they are spectacular but I just cringe at the thought of hitting a big pothole. It is probably heresy to say this, but I prefer the looks of the stock 18" wheels on the 300C which have a nice balanced proportion of wheel to rubber (and the price is right).
