Nice rims but like "they" say ... you get what you pay for and these look like really nice rims (with a price to match .... and that I can't afford - I need to get 4 rims for what one of these go for )

Get what you can afford. Folks who seriously look at 2-3 piece forged wheels usually are aware of the cost, and budget for them. Some people are just as satisfied with 1000 a set cast wheels as they would be with 6000/set forged multi-piece. Nothing wrong with that.... don't sell plasma to get some new rims.
Forged wheels at 4000 a set cost a lot initially, but since they only weigh slightly more than stock and are usually better balanced/fitted, you won't have as many potential problems with mechanical failure or premature wear of steering and suspension components (especially when moving up to 22 and 24"). To loosely quote a member here when asked about this issue ( I think it was Fatchance)... "you can pay now, or you can pay later."
Can you take a member's drawing and make him a wheel for about the same price as one of your designs?
Also, how do you work shipping?

There is just no comparison in terms of weight between a cast and a 3 piece forged wheel. Forged wheels are light!
Reducing the unsprung mass of your vehicle reduces load on your suspension components and when going for a larger size wheel greatly improves ride quality.
We can take a drawing and make it into a wheel, however all of our wheels go through SAE certification... which is expensive and destroys about 6 wheels.
So the only way we could do this for the same price is if the wheels were for "Show Use" only, this would mean strictly roll on/roll off a trailer - no driving whatsoever, its simply just not safe unless the wheel has been through SAE testing.
We could custom machine the center caps without a problem.
On the other hand we'd happily put the wheel through certification, however that would be an extra cost to the customer.
Any more questions about wheel testing or our manufacturing process we'd be happy to share.
Shipping is with DHL and is to your door, included in our price.
Cheers!

The grille is not a Signature Wheel Co creation and was already on the car when we shot those pics! We don't love it either, but individual taste is what makes life interesting!
On the copy, paste comment we would ask you to check out our website.
Our philosophy is about so much more than just the design of the wheel, it is about hand-crafted wheels that are, quite simply, perfectly made. A lot of 3 piece wheels on the market at the moment cost an arm and a leg but the painted finish will be wrinkled or the polished finish will be swirly and not mirror-like. Our focus is on achieving perfection both in engineering and aesthetics. Unfortunately, this quality is hard to communicate in photographs.
Cheers,
Signature Wheel Co
Hey, don't get me wrong guys, I wish you all the luck in the world for your business to achieve, I just wish there we're not SO many similar looking wheels being produced by so many companies
Then again, it's understandable based on what sells, and what's currently popular. Had I not JUST bought a set of Modulare wheels, I might have talked to you about options, but again, all the best in your endeavor
and yes, i'm very pleased to learn you don't like that grille either, makes me feel MUCH better about your eye for creativity
