I'm looking at a set of 275-45-20" tires for my AWD. Being AWD I have to go with the same tire front and back. Are these tires too big for the front? I don't know how wide the tread is, does any body else know?

I'm not sure about the AWD but I'm running 275/40/20 in the rears on my SRT with no problems. I got Toyo Proxie from tiredeals4less.com. Other member are running these same tires on the front with no problems and no modifications. The reason I went with a 40 series over a 45 is because it puts it at the same height as the stock tires. As long as you say close to the same tire height you should be good.

275/40R20 tires have 275mm tire width. the 40 is the sidewall ratio and is not an exact measurement.

The 275-45-20 tire you list I would not recommend. The increased sidewall number would indicate that the total height of the tire would be increased over stock which would lead to slightly poorer performance and throw off your speedo.

I know that 275/40R20's fit in the front, but you need to use a spacer. 30mm comes to mind but I'm not 100% sure. It also may be different for AWD.

Search the forums, there are specific spacers you want to buy. I think they are a hubcentric design. (basically you get the spacers taht correctly center on your hub before you put the wheel on). Spacers taht are not exactly balanced on your hub will throw off the balance of your wheel.

Or just go with a 255 and forget the spacers, easier and saves money.
