Rear Rubbing (not lowered) with 22's Normal?

I've searched and didnt' come across a thread on rubbing issues with 22s without the car being lowered. Most cases in this forum are about front rubbing. My issue is the back. Yes, I also posted a recent one about rolling fenders. But I don't think this is normal: to roll out fenders when the car is not even dropped. I do not know the offset of the wheels but they are asantis 132s 22 " staggered 295/30/10 rear.

Sorry to post again on the same subject but this thing is freakin me out. The right side rear tire is rubbing over bumps and it's slashing (eating) the tire's wall. Help?

sounds like you might need to 'shave' the control arm down. that could be what is rubbing.

also do you notice this when youre driving by yourself or only when theres passengers in the backseat? got a system or any other hefty things in your trunk?

I notice this when I drive by myself and with people. It only happens on bumps or small ditches and potholes.

what offset are your wheels? If the offset is wrong than that could be a reason you are hitting.

hey phantom i used 295/30/22 tires all the way around with 22x9.5 wheel and rubbed very bad on the rear the front had slight rubbing on the fender not on the stupid bolt just on the fender lip the shop here told me to cut part of the rear fender or as they say roll the fender to make it work but rolling or cutting part of your investment is not the smart way to go! i used this size tire cause i could not find the 265/35/22 here in mexico with that tire you wont rub at all. the car looks very good with the wider tire but the awfull sound of rubbing kills me hope you solve your problem.

I never rolled or met a person in person who rolled their fenders. Will rolling the fenders make the car look, drive, handle different? Will they have to "f" up the car ? In other words, what will I notice besides no more rubbing? Thanks

i've got 22's with 265/35/22's with eibach springs and the back works fine, only gripe is hitting a bump when turning the top edge of the fender gets bent, i usually bang it back normal with my mallet when i return home. yes...ghetto but seems to do the trick.

A 295/30-22 on a 10 inch wide wheel will rub every time. The only way to get this set up not to rub in the rear is to modifty your fender (rolling, cutting) or your control arm. You will have to localize where the actual rubbing is occuring and fix the problem that way.

Keep us updated with any news.

Your best bet is running 22 x 9.5 all away around with a 15mm offset.
Staggered looks alright but you also can't rotate your tires which is crucial.
Unless you have some deep pockets.
