Question Tire Pressure Monitoring System Accurate?????

Over the weekend, I looked at the EVIC option for tire pressure and it was all out of whack! DF 28psi - DR 29psi - PF 29psi - PR 28psi, so much for the dealer checklist!. I have a digital display compessor and check the pressure, sure enough they all are soft. Fill them up to 30 psi. Go to the EVIC display and they all say 31psi. So as you can see, its a tid bit confusing to say the least.
Who do you trust, your compressor reading or your EVIC display?? Anyone else had this discrepancy?

I don't think I'd worry about a delta of 1 P.S.I. If the difference in reading was significant I'd agree you have a problem; 1 P.S.I.?, I wouldn't call that confusing. The primary purpose of the system is to warn you of impending problems; not fine tuning within 1 P.S.I.

To answer your question, set the pressure with your gauge and rely on the system to warn you when you have a problem.

Don't put all your trust in your guage though. I have three and I check one against the other from time to time. I have a Bluepoint that stays accurate, but I've had pencil guages and dial guages that lose accuracy over time.
