Avon Tyres anyone?

Don't laugh, I am thinking of 255/55-18 from Tire Rack, only 6 reviews, all good, hmmm. Most tires I looked at had bad reviews even Michelin, the Avons run a low $108 each, hmmm, you get what you pay for, any thoughts

I don't know, sounds pretty good to me. I'm soon to replace the stock tires and hadn't found these. Everyone seems pretty happy with them.

Look like nice tires....oops tyres

Thanks NR, I had not seen that article. Funny I searched the 255/55-18 and a Cooper tire showed up. I figured since I was looking at these old tire brands, I checked Kelly Springfield but no luck. I may give the Avon a go. Toyo is an option, I don't think Khumo, Falken, or Nitto will be a good choice for me.

Only problem with mail order is the 0.4 inch bigger size rubbing that asinine bolt, no one has reported that yet, but at least at the shop, you can look after the first front tire is on and see if it hits. If so, ixnay on the iretay.

You may want to re-think this tire. At 41 Lbs. each they are sure to have some ill effects.

Would these be an option?

http://www.tirerack.com/tires/tires....1=yes&place=14
They were directly compared to the Avons and did a little better in performance.
