smjn13, the package came with nitto nt420s 255/45/20 tires before I put them on I checked inside the wheel and said 300c awd 40mm I dont even think I will lower the car since they seem to fill the wheel well okay.

cirob,

Thanks for the info, same tire. You are right, it appears mine are out a bit farther than yours.

AWDriver,

You are clearly a patient person, how long has it been! It can't take that long to build one car, good grief. But with all this pent up stuff, your mods should come within the first week.

Shmj13 and Cirob and Hemidude,
Do you notice any difference in the ride with the 20's, new tires, and lighter rims?

The FZ15's and RT16's have been advertised to be 12lbs lighter than the stock rims. 12lbs per wheel seems a lot, so maybe they mean 3lbs per wheel.

Joey I like the ride just like my vette I feel they grip the road better. I have a slight shimmy 48-53 mph anyone else? I am having them spin balanced next week . They came with 35 lbs in them called my tire guy and he said 35-40 is recommended. I put 40 in them. Also my tire guy said the mph at 60 with stockers the 255/45/20 are 59.6 mph since circumference is real close. Just one problem when mc2 sent my wheels they were missing one chrome cap still havent sent it said was on B/O still waiting since august 1st. will have wycoff chrysler call them again this week.

joey,

I definitely more grip on the road. The tires ride much better than I suspected. If you hit a bad bump, you get jolted a little bit harder, but other than that a nice ride.

cirob,

I also have a slight shimmy at about the same miles per hour but nowhere else. Less than that or cruising at 80 mph on the highway, nothing and very comfortable. I was thinking of going in to get mine rebalanced as well. Let me know if it fixes the problem or the change in pressure. Also, did you find some place that has nitrogen to add to the pressure?

shmj13 you can fill your tires with regular air they are nitrogen filled as to not loose air like regular air when your tires expand and contract, I'll let you know after I get them spin balanced I hope this week

shmj13 went to one of my customers he realigned my C and balanced the tires again and still had the same shimmy. Then went to another dealer of mine and he has a road force balance machine. Even though the mc2 tires and wheels are supposed to be road force balanced my dealer said that there should be at least 200 miles on the tires and wheels to be properly road force balanced. After they road force balanced by turning the tire on the wheel and put new weights on, the shimmy is completely gone. all the tires are perfect except for my left rear tire and wheel but real close. They also reccommend 40 lbs of air in the tires. Hope this helps
