PICS of 20"s on 300

I'm new to the forum and I must say this is the greatist thing for 300 owners. I just got one for the wife last week and maaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaan its the greatist car I have ever owened. I want to get rid of the stock look but in reading the forum it sounds like if I go for the 22's I may be sleeping in the dog house with the dog. I have a lowered chevy truck on 22's and love it but it has 40s on it. All this talk about rubbing and teeth jarring on the 300 makes me believe that 20 might be the best thing for my marrage. PLEASE post pics so I can get her excited about getting rid of the 18's. Thanks in advance to all who help me out here.

Here's mine with 20x9 OEM 'SRT-8' forged polished aluminum wheels clad with P245/45ZR20 Goodyear 'Eagle F1 Supercar' tires up front and P255/45ZR20 Goodyear 'Eagle F1 Supercar' tires on the rear.

The second photo is of the '300C' pre-production model which was actually designed with 20" '300C' OEM-type wheels which were clad with P275/40ZR20 Continentals.

Thanks is there a reason why they put 245 on the front and 255 on the rear. It would seem to me that you cant rotate them. From what I have been reading around the 255/45/20 would be the way to go all the way around. any thoughts

Go with SRT8 wheels....You can't go wrong.

However, depending on the color, you also might be inconvenienced with people mistaking it for one.

L8RH-

Yep you're right...you can't rotate them. The reason why people stagger the size is because you get more meat on the ground in the rear, has a wider stance, looks meaner from the back, and for those who go to aftermarket wheels with a lip you gotta a wider wheel...wider lip...wider tire. Personally I went straight set all the way around because I do 25-30K miles per year in my ride. Hope that helps you with the stagger question.

In terms of 20's I think vvv90 is right...go with the SRT8 wheels. They're light and have a great design. If you don't like that wheel you going to have to make some decisions about what type of look you want your car to have and then start looking at the appropriate wheels (i.e. full-face wheel gives the car a more luxury look, open-faced wheel gives the car a more sporty look). Also most importantly decide on your budget because that will help you a lot in narrowing down your opportunities. Let us know if you need help cuz that's what we're all here for.

Later.

L8RH-

I should have been more thorough in my answers and looked at your other questions. First take a look in the FAQ section because Rogue did a fantastic job of outlining Q&A for both 20" and 22" wheels. You'll learn a lot from those two posts. In terms of offset with 20s you'll want to get somewhere between a +20-24mm offset. You'll probably be looking at 8.5" to 9" wide wheels and that would be the appropriate offset. In terms of tires and this is just my opinion I think NITTO is making the hottest tire out right now in both the triple nickels (555) and the 420S. I have the 420S and I love the tire. It has a great tread pattern and a good looking sidewall. If money is no object you could go with BFG G-forces in a 245/40/20 or Michelin Pilot's in a 245/40/20. Again...IMO, 20s look better with a 40-series tire on them. But if you're not gonna drop it then go with a 45-series tire to help close the gap between tire and fender well. Hope it helps.
