Probably under the table to some guy in purchasing. But enough said about the suppliers of the Auto industry.

I just replaced my tires this past Tuesday with 235/60/18 Michelins. In two words I am "Very Pleased"!!! I got them from Discount Tire and they even pro rated the Continentals out at 100% and that amount was applied toward the new Michelins. That made me even happier.

It probably will solve your" steering kick" problem. Hard composition rubber tends to bounce causing steerage to wander to the line of least resistance.

Today I got so pissed with the noise of my Conti's I drove into Town Fair Tire and ordered a set of 20" wheels with Toyo's. First idea was to put them on the AWD asluminum rims, but they mouted a tire on a chrome wheel, and it was no question. The look is spectacular.

Pictures to follow soon.

Gang,

I've had to made two trips to the dealer to have my computer reset for this size tire. (there is no setting in our ECM to cover this size) After a little research the dealers Tech and I discovered that the SRT-8 rear tire and this tire is the almost the same size. When you go out to the Interstate and time the car between mile posts, it comes out correctly. The rear size for the SRT-8 is 255/45/20 and that's the size you will want to set your ECM to.

I too, recently noticed the extra tire noise from the self-seal Conti's. It is irrating thet such a nice piece of engineering comes with such poor tires! Also the winter traction, if you call it that, was very poor. I don't even have 5,000 miles on the tires and can't wait until they wear out, which according to others won't be too long! I am a Michelin fan but all Micheliens aren't created equal. Other than BF Goodrich, what other 18" tires (tire models) including Michelin do people have installed?

I have posted if a couple of recent tire threads I put on the Goodyear ComforTread 225/60-18, very pleased with the ride, lack of jolts over bumps, noise level, handling etc. They are said to have great rain and snow traction and got outstanding reviews in the Tire Rack survey (TR does not list our size), I got mine from a GY retailer for $137. You are right about Michelin, some are good some are not and all are expensive.

I purchased mine at 8,200 miles at the end of February, and the Conti-Seal tires seemed fine then but at 14,000 I noticed a vibration in the front end at 68-73 mph.
I was told by the dealership at 15,000 miles that they needed to be replaced!
Continental will drop the price to $102.70 but they still won't be under warranty as
they revert back to OE.
I'm not sure what other tires would work on a 300C and they say to stay with 225/60r18....
Any suggestions?
