I've read almost every thread in this forum and this one has been one of the longest and most informative of all... but still not enough about AWD!
pleeeeeeezeee help
The AWD is an all-weather foul weather machine perhaps the reason it is 1" taller. The bolt pattern is the same as the Rear Drive cars which is 5x115. Only the AWD has a very high offset and the RWD has a low offset. Once you find suitable wheels that fit all or most of the tire sizes used on the RWD cars should fit. As I posted on the other thread if there are few rim choices for the AWD then some custom made rims may be necessary.

Maybe he took the 'scenic route' through Oildale.

Hopefully you and 'steveo' (another forum member from Bakersfield) will join us this June at our regional get-together in SoCal...we'll see you there.

I have 22inch tezzens on my 300 base and I cannot tell the difference between riding with the stock or the 22s. If for some reason they rub when turning you can put spacers on which are only .25 inches and you cant even tell but it makes a huge difference.

Your base is 17" and you increased wheel size by 5" and - you can't tell the difference? That's amazing. How about high speed driving, braking and cornering? Any difference?

BTW - spacers are always a bad thing to do, IMO.

SOME MAY BE IN DENIAL! No way to add 22 rims and the ride stays the same?! You may not mind the changes but saying a soft tire with 5.5 inches of sidewall rides like a stiff tire with only 3.7 inches of sidewall is not plausible.

As long as the overall tire O.D. remains the same, wheel size means nothing.

You may stand alone on that one.
