Go with 22's you will regret it later. I just put 22's on I love it. It is a little rougher ride than stock on rough roads, but on smooth highways/roads the ride is about the same. Gas mileage is almost the same to (highway 25/ city 19). I have absolutely no tire rub anywhere

Personally, 22s look good, but not good enough to sacrifice 1. ride quality 2. factory brakes 3. factory suspension. Plus I would be affraid to drive 'normal' because of fear of bending a wheel. I also like to see a little more rubber on the tires and thats another reason why im leaning toward the 20's. To each his own though. Post some pics when you get your new wheels on.
Now that I have experienced my own set of 22", I thought I would way in on this thread. I have listen to many and read all of the posts to this thread and still took the plung into the 22" world. I have to say I spent months going back and forth between 20s and 22s. Everyone is right, go with the 22s you will regret it, they are worth it. My ride is smooth and handles like a dream. I went with the Asanti AF132 22 x 9.5 all around and Pirelli Scorpion Zero 265/35. Complete heaven.
Most of the guys keep saying go with 22"s you will regret it later. I put on some 20"s and still don't regret it. Many of the 22's I see the cars look somewhat cartoonish with oversized rims and tires. Really looks bad if the car is not lowered. One thing I have regretted - now the car kicks up everything on the paint. I have to spend more time detailing even with splash guards. The 20x8.5 et20 with 245/45/20 sticks out a little and it makes the car dirtier. I got some stains on the plastic side moulding that will not come off.
I think the choice can have a lot to do with location, I see a lot of people on the forum with 22” living in Cali and other none snow states where there are better road conditions. I live in NYC where huge pot holes are a way of life and we never repair them right! Just try driving down the Bruckner expressway, then over the Tribrough Bridge and into Manhattan by the time you get to ground zero your 22s will be egg shaped
I have had my set of 22's for 4 months now and i love them!!! the car looks so sharp. The stock 18's were really to small for the car. 19's should atleast come stock to give the car the right look.
the only problem i have is that I have the TPS, so every 10 minutes it tells me i have low tire pressure. the stock sensors will not fit in my aftermarket rims.
I'm biased living in California, but if I lived in a state where weather was a concern I would just keep my stock set up for the winter time. A lot of people do that already with snow tires.
I understand the not being able to decide. It took me 6 months to decide. I went with 22s and I'm not looking back. Very happy with the ride.
I was hoping that some of you could comment on the quality of your ride on 22" wheels (for those that have 22" wheels) or 20" (for those that have 20" wheels).
I am concerned with weight and was hoping to find a larger (20 - 22" wheel) that was similiar to weight and performance to the stock ones. Love the look but I am hoping to sacrifice little in performance, weight, and ride quality.
Thanks for any and all feedback...I am trying to decide between the two sizes, and I don't want to make a mistake.
