Well, Ive had my 22's on for a couple of weeks now and absolutely no complaints I am running 265/35/22 tires. Love the look and ride quality hasnt diminished at all except for on really $h!tty roads.

The TPMS sensor? I don't believe you can turn it off.

Sorry, not familir with the 51-fifty rims. Post some pics in a different thread and you'll get lots of opinions

My son would suggust and do the same but I would not. IMO, too much rim and not enough sidewall.

My suggestion to everyone on the fence about going w/ 20s or 22s...if at all possible, ride in a car w/ 22s and ride in a car w/ 20s (preferably everything the same between the two except wheel size - as in, both stock height, both lowered w/ springs, both lower w/ coilovers, both lower w/ air ride, etc...). Then and only then will you be able to make an educated decision. Until you feel the difference, everything is just hearsay. Of course I like 22s, that's what I've got. Folks w/ 20s will tell you to go w/ 20s. You can see the difference between 20s and 22s in pictures all day long on here. But until you feel 20s and 22s, you'll never be able to personally answer the question about ride quality. G'luck w/ your decision.

300CULATER, I have the Arelli Mazlan B 20X9 with Hankook Ventus ST 275/40 R20 and it is very close to what came on the car but the ride is much better with the twenty's than I ever expected. Another thing I looked at was messing with my speed. With the twenty's there is no change. Not knowing anything about the twenty-two's, I like the ride I got now over my stock set-up.

New user reply

Hi, new user from the UK and I think I just made the wrong decision on some Lenso Titan 20" wheels (Hyper silver) (9J's all round) on Hankook high performance tyres - 255/35/zr20's all round.

The problem is the gap between the fender and the top of the wheel. Since fitting them on monday the suspension has settled a little but I should have opted for at least 245/45/20. Lowering the suspension is not an option for me.

So looks like a tyre change or 22" wheels with 265/30/zr22's.

Any advice, my current plan is to sell the 20's with the tyres and start again.

It seems you are satisfied with the rim but not the tire height and gap. You were sold the wrong tire size. PERIOD! So, why buy a new set of rims and tire when all you need is new tires. Yes, you should have used the 245/45/20 or 255/45/20 or even a 275/40/20. Whoever (Idiot), recommended those 255/35/20 gave you too short tires. You speedo error with those tires is way off at -5.6%. Get new tires ASAP!

Hi and thanks for the fast advice. Yes I like the rims, hate the tyres.
I want to fill the gap as much as possible so an xxx/45/20 seems best. I assume by speedo error that also means I am clocking up less mileage as a consequence?
