I'm running 265/45/20 Scorpion PZero's and the ride is significantly better. No bumpier than stock, even when hitting pot holes, etc. And it doesn't float around like it did with the 18's.

As Dirty Harry said:
"You've just gotta ask yourself--Do I feel lucky?"

When dealing with significant others, the consequences could
be nearly as grim.

The 20 inchers will definitely not make your wife happier,
and might make her (and therefore you) miserable.

Feeling lucky?

Best,

Remind her it is all relative . . . . Having to ride in the trunk on 18" wheels is bound to be less comfortable than riding in the passenger seat with 20" wheels.

Brave aren't I when it comes to YOUR wife.

Thanks,
Magnesium,

Are you riding on 275/40's yet?

BobD, Do you have any pics of the tires on your ride? I'm in the process of getting 245/40/20 but comparing your tire size it appears to have more wheel, which is what I want. So is there any rubbing? Is there any adjustments (i.e. spacers etc.) needed with the size you went with?
Thanks in advance for your's or anyone who can help

There are some pics and commentary here:

20" wheel and tire deal

No spacers. And contrary to my orignial concerns, no rubbing (that bolt isn't making contact and the tires do actually clear the wheel well when you hit a big bump with two guys in the back seat).

I'm loving this setup so far. Better ride and better handling, and I personally really like the looks. I was really committed to staying with the same O/D, but the 265's really fill up the wheel well and there is a better selection of tires at that size in general.

Nope. The wheels I was considering are 20x8, and they're just too narrow to work right. I'm going to hold off until more options are available, or I find more money to throw at a nice set of 3pc forged wheels.

*shrug*

I did a Honda Accord way back when (92). When 17's where just hitting the market. The ride was good and we put a lot of miles on that car. I'm just going to hope for the same results. There will be a difference in ride, but it seems every one is good with it. I just posted a thread (300c's on 22's) with 15 pictures. Check it out.
