20 and size

So i took the wife with.(not in the trunk ither)
We talked to the guys for a while and they made some calls. Im getting Foose Speedster. The tires are Bridgestone 255/35/20. I looked it up on 1010 when i got home they say that the'll be 5 mph over now. Did my tire guys make a mistake? I asked them about it before i left i didnt want the speedo to be off and they said it wouldn't be.
Im concerned that they did.

Depends on whether they updated the computer. I had mine done at the dealer and they were able to update it. Doubt a tire shop is going to do that, but you should be able to have your dealer do it next time you're in for service.

Anyone with the 22's having trouble with car hopping on bumps in the highway. I read that some people are complaining that the 22s feel unstable on curves and on bumps on highways.

Your speed will be off slightly less then 4 miles per hour.
This site has a good tool to figure the numbers out.
http://www.net-comber.com/tirecalc.html

When I someday get 20's, I plan to go with a conservative 245/45/20, which is very close to the 28.63 diameter of the 18 inchers.

tires

I was going to do that too. But I didnt bring my list so...
Im going back over there tomarow and ask them about these sizes.

275.40.20 .1375 slow
245.45.20 .206 slow
265.40.20 .990 to fast.

I got this info from 1010tires.

I been thinking that the low profies wouldnt fill the wheel well enough and look silly.

I checked that link to net comer. they have the tire i bought as 4.64 to slow. 1010 had them at 5.39 to slow.
I said it wrong in the last post. :o

Don't you have the 18" C wheels?
If you do, then you should be a little less then 4 mph off.

Unfortunately, nobody's making 245/45/20's (yet)

You are right. I just went through a bunch of wheel websites and couldn't find one. Ironic that the original concept car apparently had the 245/45/20's on the fronts and 275/40/20's on the rear, per this article.
http://www.discountingmags.com/car_dub_magazines.htm

Hopefully a bigger selection of sizes will show up over time otherwise I am probably going to have to go with the 275/40/20's.

I think the first attachment picture has that configuration mentioned in the article because the rears look wider.

But then next two attachments show 275/40/20's on the front.
Probably different cars with different set-ups.

Tires

OK
So the wheels came in today. They mouted the tires and put them on.
Remember i was worried about the 255 35 20. Well my tire guy calls me over its setting on the ground. The tires look stupid. He tells me he donest like it. I agree so hes going to find a better tire that will fill the wells better. Might even have to change the wheels to a better offset. What about a Sport truck tire that should give me a good ride yea.
