Goodyear F-1 rim width

Will a 10" wide rim work for a Goodyear F-1 255/55/20?
Tirerack's website says 9.5" is the max recommended width; but I'm hoping 10" is okay as I am buying aftermarket 20" rims and they only come either 8.5 and 10" wide. When the stock Goodyears wear out, I will be going with a slightly wider rear tire so I will need the 10" rim at that time.

Considering the fact that Tire Rack compiles their published information directly from the manufacturer, I would go with their recommendation(s). Although I could no longer locate the same 'Eagle F1 Supercar' tire which comes OEM on some of the optioned 'SRT-8' models, I have in fact located its possible replacement. As expected, Goodyear's recommendations mirror those of Tire Rack. Mounting these tires on anything other than what's approved by the manufacturer (Goodyear) may possibly and adversely affect any warranty issues, as well as possibly causing the tire's sidewalls to become overstressed. Personally, I'd just go with the wider tires (other brand) that you were eventually planning to go with anyway. :

255/55/20? Did you mean 255/45/20 or 255/55/18?

Thanks for catching that.
I meant the 255/forty five/20 -- the stock rear tire on a SRT8

I'd go with TireRack's data

I have the 245/45 ZR20 F1 supercars all around on my 300C, mounted on the Zinik's and they are great. They recommended them and I have had good luck. The wheels are 20 x 9

Replaced the stock Conti seals which I will use in the winter
