Any of you with a 2012 SRT8 driving in Winter

What have you done for wheels/tires? I can't find anyone that has a wheel/tire combo for the 2012 SRT8. I'm hesitant to buy the car if I can't find an appropriate set of winter wheels/tires? Any of you with a 2012 with a wheel that cleared the brembo calipers?

It would probably be cheaper to just pick up a winter beater vehicle then buy new rims and tires...plus then the srt doesn't have to see the harsh conditions

Many of us in Canada drive our SRT8's year round.

A set of winter wheels and ice and snow tires is an absolute must, though.

Tire Rack has some inexpensive wheels that do the job nicely. My favourite winter tires are Pirelli Ice and Snows.

With 2 sets of tires, each set will last you twice as long!

Here is a great wheel (I use them for racing in the summer) for $99.00.

My first call was to TireRack but they don't have any wheels for the 2012's yet...at least not they they have varified. Worst case, I have found two different winter tires that are made in the OEM 20". While I hate to mount them on the OEM Wheels(I got the black crome) that may be my only option this first season. I know there are serveral options for the pre 2012, there seems to be nothing anyone can confirm for the 2012+.

I plan on driving in the winter but not when its stupid ohio winter. I can't find wheels either and was thinking about factory repro's with snows. I don't want to buy 20" snows if I don't have to tho!!

I bought a second set off eBay for $1500 with OEM all seasons. We'll see how it goes. Worst case, I'll take my Wrangler and leave the SRT8 safe in the garage.

Got a link you can reference? I'm fine with buying another set of 20" wheels and throwing snow tires on them. I just want to avoid taking tires on/off the factory wheels. Thanks.

Also, I spoke with wheel/tire company in Detroit that things they have a set of 19's that will clear the brembo's and they offered a full return policy if it didn't fit. We'll see, but if there is a set of 20's that are reasonably priced then maybe I'll just go that route. Thanks !!

the only issue I have with putting 20 inch winter tires on is the $300/tire price tag...when an 18 inch is only 160 or so.

the search continues.....

a link to eBay? There are lots of OEM SRT8 wheels there....just have to be patient and find the right set. There were some Super Bee wheels available when I got mine...might still be there.

Still finding it difficult finding any wheel/tire site that will list anything other than 20" wheel/tire options for the 2012 300/Charger STR8's, yet if I choose the 2012 Challenger SRT8 I get at least a couple options for an 18" wheel/tire combo. I know the Charger & 300 are virtual twins and if Wheels fit the 2012 Charger SRT8 they would also fit the 300, but I'm unsure about the 2012 Challenger SRT8...do they use the same brembo calipers, same clearance? I'd much rather run a set of 18x8 winter wheel/tires.
