wow, that's way less expensive than I thought. I dream of redoing my whole interior in black one of these days...

No it is not real suede and it is not one piece, the fabrics are not wide enough. It is microfiber and is available in many colors. There are upgrades as well like novasuede, alcantara, ultrasuede, sensuede, etc...

Anyone that would put real suede on a headliner would have many more seams than microfiber (real suede is real cow so the shape is determined by the size of the cow and then there are flaws, etc that have to be cut around) It is just not very practical for most.

Is it one piece of REAL suede though??? I would think that would be more expensive.

James can back me up on this. We have very large cows here in Texas. But I have never seen a large enough cow, that can do an entire headliner in 1 piece, lol. Also like James said there are imperfections in every cows hide. They rub up against fence posts, get there hide snagged on barbed wire fences, etc. The real hides can get costly and would require many different pieces. Thus raising the cost considerably.

Synthetic materials can cover more space, less visible threading, and cost much less. Especially microfiber. It is made into everything from mens dress slacks, to suede like finish's to the towel you use to wipe and buff your car.

I only put it up after reading yours for so long. It's far worse with the number of people in my town and no M&G's. You were the inspiration for it Bro.

OK, we now return you to your regularly scheduled program.

Just out of curiosity, does anyone know what a ballpark price would be to have one of these [more seamless than] suede headliners installed?

Thanks!
