Thanks very much for checking that. That was one of the potential problems. The other one is that I've seen mention that this won't work with the Mopar security system. Since the export models (well, the UK models at least - can't speak for the rest of the world) come with a factory alarm, I'd be concerned, although I don't know if it is the system referred to as the Mopar security system. Any idea what the problem would be with the Mopar security system? Is this covered in the manual at all?
it's the RFID system that is in question, the remote start requires that you program a SKREEM module to the Ignition WCM so it mimicks a key being in the ignition...
if you have WCM Module part number 56038665AS or higher (AT thru AW) then it works..
the parts manual does NOT show a different P/N for export modules on the WCM like it does for many other parts.. so the question is do you have the right part number..
only way to know is to pull it out and look...
I know Dutchy had the Remote Start on his Netherlands CRD, what I don't know is what he did to make it work, he might of swapped the WCMs, but I don't know.
swapping the WCM is easy, but a dealer has to program it to your PCM so the Key will send/receive the proper RFID Code.

Thank you - that's very useful. I was about to ask if the WCM part number is related to the age of the car (ie will my 2008 model be more likely to have one of the higher part numbers), when I noticed that the first post in this thread specifically says it will fit the 2005 to 2007 models. Putting two and two together I guess the 2008 models with the newer style keys use a different kind of WCM module, so I suppose it's not going to work in my car after all. Shame.
Edit: Thunder Child - you beat me to it, but obviously reached the same conclusion.

oops! Just a little behind....he's already answered.
I have the factory oem security system and it works fine....Mr. iNCREDIBLE is the one who helped me out by answering a bunch of questions I had, he knows far more than I do about it. I believe there is a difference between the Mopar alarm that you can install and the OEM integrated alarm.

it's the black box attached to the ignition module.. you have to remove the ignition (3 bolts as I recall behind the panel it is set into) and pull it out..
there are 2 parts, the metal silver key cylinder and the plastic black WCM.

I got mine about a month ago from wyckoffchrysler and love it. Just looked in the installation manual and in the installation Option List it has a diesel timer which delays the crank attempt for 30 seconds. If anyone would know I would think Mr. iNCREDIBLE would....you should PM him see if he knows .
Did you install yourself? If so, how difficult ( or easy!).
Thanks.
