I'm having an issue with my 300C, the car is cutting off and this has recently started. Two codes came up, one U0100 and two P0700, can someone assist. It starts back but may work for a little while and cuts off again

U0100 means the car and PCM have lost communication.

The P0700 code means the transmission control module has lost communication with the PCM.

Check the main harness connection to your computer. It may be loose, dirty, have some condensation in it or it may be corroded.

Also, check your main power connections and ground at the battery and the underhood power center.

If the connections are in good condition it may very well be a bad PCM.

Hi maddog letting you know that I discovered what is the problem with the car cutting off. I did what you advised me to do, but that wasn't showing any signs
Apparently the PCM started to malfunction causing the car to cut off on the run. Temporarily replaced it and problem solved. Thanks for the support

Thanks for the update. I suspected as much but it's always a good idea to check the simple, and cheaper, items first.
