Transmission: TSB 21-016-18

There is a new TSB 21-016-18.
It updates the 845RE software from version 68317706AD to 68317706AE.
This update made a dramatic difference on my 2017 - 300 Limited AWD.
Fixed all the 1-2 shift issues I was having.
It also improved the general behavior of the transmission.

Hard to read your attachment. Do you know which models/years this applies to?

I do not know what years it applies to.
I have a 2017.
The attachment is a picture of the receipt from my service visit.
When I clicked on the link, I can read it just fine.
The only thing important in the attachment is the bulletin number and the updated software version, and I typed that into my original post.
They also said the fluid level was OK.

When I click the link the picture is super small on my screen. Maybe 2 inch x 2 inch. I can't read anything on it.

You should be able to google the TSB for more information.

I had that issue, had the dealer perform the TSB, then 3-4 weeks later...transmission was shifting very weird, and a few times acted like it was trying to get into two gears at once.
Took it back in, dealer said the transmission was shot, the replaced the Trans, Torque Converter, lines, Trans Cooler all under warranty. Only had about 12k on the odometer...2018 300C, 5.7.
Still shifts a little weird in my honest opinion, but we'll see.
not sure if these 8-speed transmissions are the best solution with you have that much torque...you don't need as many gears to move down the road.

anyone else have major trans failure???
