Bentley grille

Used the wrong nozzle on the Kartcher (the hi power thin nozzle)and put it to close and it ripped of a chunk of the chrome from the plastic grille, obviously aftermarket but didn't realise it was chrome plated plastic.
What can I do, I love the grille its got the big wing at top which looks like it comes off.
The ones on eBay etc are not the same, the diagonal criss cross sections are bigger (don't look as good),don't mind buying new or good second hand but it has to be same type.
Or can I get all the chrome taken off and hopefully re-chromed or last resort which I don't want to do if can be avoided, strip chrome (not off wing) and get it painted in the pearl black.
Any idea on costs?or anybody got one for sale?

Prepare to paint, because chrome spray paint ain't worth a shit.

Why not switch back to factory? If you read the posts here from a while back about the Bentley mods, you would probably feel different about it.

Please come back and tell us what the solution to your problem was, so that others coming here can learn from it.

No,it has not got a Bentley logo on wing on grille, no bentley badges, nothing Bentley on it ,would not dream of it, but the Bentley style grille I feel is the best looking.

If you have the Startech grill, you could arrange to have it rechromed. There are plenty of specialised that can get the job done at a fraction of the cost. Startech no longer manufacturer these grills.

One step for man, one giant leap for mankind

Hi,thanks very much for that, even though I have had the car for years, just realised after checking so many sites and so many grilles this is infact a genuine startech grille and possibly available somewhere in the States but unfortunately for $400 or $500 maybe plus shipping.
I think this is the best grille, so it seems like I must look for a company in the UK that can refurb with the wing taken off (it doesn't need plating its perfect) Anyone every had chrome plated plastic rechromed? To prepare the grille properly before re-plating looks difficult but I assume they will dip it in something to strip chrome plate properly before plating.
Any ideas on companies that will do this, hopefully not far from Watford?

Thanks for that, but I must have looked at 500 grilles from every maker in States UK everywhere, the original startech is 400 or 500 dollars ,not even sure if it comes with the wing.IMHO its bar far the best looking.

Still searching for a company that will refurb to a good standard which will prob cost £300, seen a couple of styles that look not bad but they will not be as good as Startech, might eventually have to go for one of those but I think I will be disappointed and then be stuck with a grille.

If only!would love to post a few pics of the car but find it impossible to post photos on this site
Go to google type "startech grille chrysler 300c" and its the first one on left.
Rib down centre, yellow and red badge, wing emblem which comes off( which is not part of the grille) and thats the difference with the cheaper ones £85ish where the wing ,bar the emblem is part of the grille.
