REJ Sat Nav Roll Back

Today, I decided to try and roll back to the stock 2006 DVD, as I've been getting lots of read errors with my current DVD :-)
They say it can't be done, well I found a way.

This is how you do it.

Insert your standard DVD.
Power up the REJ, select Band and Choose FM
Press "Nav" Button
Press and hold 2, 6 and cancel buttons simultaneously.
A Hidden menu appears.
select "unit check" (enter)
select "debug" (enter)
select "force download" (enter)
after 5 minutes, you'll be back to stock.

Very interesting. I wonder how you discovered the procedure? Are you saying an upgrade (presumably not the dealer option) is a waste of time?

I read about the hidden menu somewhere.
Decided to have a tinker and found the "Force Download" option.
Figured that it could only mean one thing.
Tried it, and hey presto, I now have a Sat Nav, that will read discs again.

Nuff said about that.

Took me a while to find this but thanks for posting it. At least when I burn another updated disk, I can backout quickly if it doesn't work. Doug
