  1. Lights on dash

Have you scanned it with a high end unit capable of reading abs codes etc. Basic scanners only do engine codes. The rear abs pick up rings have a habit of rusting and falling off. Both been replaced on mine. If you remove the sensor and look into the hole you can see the tone ring. There are...

Thanks for that, 0.3 hrs suggests it shouldn't be too bad. I'll report back when done :)
  3. Glowplug replacement

    UK & Europe Regional Forum
Went to replace #4 glowplug yesterday. Got engine nice and hot and removed old one without any problems. Went to fit new NGK replacement ( from our friendly 300C shop ) and it really didn't to want to go in to even begin the threads. A quick compare of old and new and the tip looks slightly...

A friends 56 300C has just failed its MOT with a crack in the lower arm midway. Sounds like we need to keep a check on these parts as they get older !
  5. Upper Front Wishbones.

Just had both sides replaced along with the Lower Tension struts after MOT failure. Local independant did it at a very reasonable price. I'm so pleased with how the car feels now, they must have been rattling for a while and hadn't noticed how much it was affecting the ride. Its back to how it...

Wow, that's scary. What part failed to cause that. Ball joint on Spring link ?
  7. Fuel hose sizes

If you replace with standard 10mm pipe its worth checking that they don't kink after a while and restrict the flow. I put regular 10mm on both pipes about a year ago, I checked recently and both had developed a kink where they bend. Now I've since read that a restriction in the return pipe can...
  8. CRD hard starting. P0340 camshaft position sensor.

    UK & Europe Regional Forum
No previous work in the area, after pulling the code I removed the sensor to check PN and reseated the connector. Same hard starting and code relogged after previous clearing. Since changing the sensor it hasn't missed a beat. I'd be tempted to say for less than £20 if you are chasing an...

  10. Scanner/Reader for a 2007 CRD

I bought an Autel MD805 from Amazon. The cheaper ones are ok for basic engine codes but when it comes to ABS, Trans etc you need something a bit better.
  11. Front brake caliper rebuild

Sure, the guys name is Dave Haden, proper old craftsman who's been doing this for years. In Walsall Wood near the Drunken Duck pub. Highly recommended. https://www.dhaden.co.uk/
  12. Front brake caliper rebuild

    UK & Europe Regional Forum
Finally got round to rebuilding my front brake calipers. This problem showed itself when I put new discs and pads in a while back, when the pistons were pushed back to accomodate the new pads they were binding and keeping the brakes on ( smoke after a short drive ). I put the old pads back in at...

I bought a new blade from ebay ( search RWB0019 ). A little trimming and it fitted fine :)

Contacted them and word is they are all 3 pin. I'd better get one for when it fails completely :)
  15. P0335 No start. 07 CRD Tourer.

I did see that listing but no indication of pin numbers. Confused as to how they can list one item for all when other sites give two options.
