Replace them both, then forget about them For a one-time, bullet proof, fix see post #44. Order two and you'll be done forever.
  3. KW V2 impressions and settings

    Suspension/Handling Modifications
Welcome, Tom. It's always good to have a factory rep stop by, especially so when they can clear up a major mystery while they're at it. It's also good to see a manufacturer step up and correct design deficiencies when they occur, rather than going into denial mode and stonewalling. So kudos to...
  4. KW V2 impressions and settings

    Suspension/Handling Modifications
Man, that's interesting! And it's truly quite impressive that Pedders goes to such lengths to make sure the system is "shook out", loaded, while everything's loose, and then snugged with full weight still on the suspension. I'd be surprised if even the factory does that. I've sure never seen...
  5. KW V2 impressions and settings

    Suspension/Handling Modifications
But, last I checked Brick, IIRC the KW V1s are typically priced less than Mopar coilovers. EDIT: 'Good news is you'll find that both flavors are available through supporting vendors here - you just won't find both flavors at the same store.
  6. Running A Cool Motor!!!!

    Performance General Discussion
Sweet! :fing02: Now let's review a few things: 1. No CEL this morning because you used the gears to warm your coolant up expeditiously to a point above 180° before all the sand emptied from the egg timer. Note: Once your coolant temp passes 180° you can shift into drive and resume...
  7. Running A Cool Motor!!!!

    Performance General Discussion
OK, here's that pic after all.
  8. Running A Cool Motor!!!!

    Performance General Discussion
Yes it is, SS. I've recently seen a pic that would simplify things and I'll attempt to track it down for you, but in the meantime, just take your flashlight out, pop open the PDC cover and look at the schematic embossed in the underside of the lid. Keep in mind that the schematic is reversed...
  9. Running A Cool Motor!!!!

    Performance General Discussion
I certainly wouldn't be losing any sleep over the warranty question, SS. But do be aware of the possibility of getting a code and a CEL (Check Engine Light) if you don't warm the engine up past 180° fairly quickly until the car's adaptive learning has gotten used to the cooler tstat. To help...
  10. Auxiliary audio input for factory stereo's has arrived - What is your interest level?

There you go RD, JonW's email address for you to use to contact him.
  11. Auxiliary audio input for factory stereo's has arrived - What is your interest level?

    Car Audio/Alarms/UConnect/Navigation
While there are several fully functioning prototypes out there in various member's cars as I understand it, rd, it never went into production. I suggest you PM JonW and express your interest to him.
  12. KW V2 impressions and settings

    Suspension/Handling Modifications
I believe that Pedders is actively working on a camber-correcting solution for the AWD platform, Jay. Just how much impact that can have on the right-pull problem that's usually addressed via the front cradle I can't say. Suggest you drop Mike White, Pedder's West Coast Tech Rep, a line here...
  13. KW V2 impressions and settings

    Suspension/Handling Modifications
It's apples and oranges, jaydee - The control arms are totally separate from and unaffected by (directly speaking) the shocks and springs. Check out the various schematics showing the LX suspension components on this Pedders Suspension site: Chrysler 300, Dodge Charger, Dodge Magnum With the...
  14. Broken Visor Clip

    Problems / Dealer Service
Price notwithstanding, if you want visor clips that won't break, ever, go with the GM units.
  15. Broken Visor Clip

    Problems / Dealer Service
Ask for the visor retainer for any 2001-2004 Chevrolet SS or LSS model, and specify Beige as your color preference. The GM# is 1 5052538. Numbers following that, if needed, are: 99622 05230 GR 16 070. A very simple modification is required to enable these retainers to fit properly. Using a pair...

Right on target, Steve; Traction it is. A full foot of it, twice, with a soft, grippy compound that feels just like an art gum eraser, and grabs even better. 315 x 17 MT new street radials are the ultimate grippers for our LX'es.

  19. Cloudy coolant - OFFICIAL REGISTRATION THREAD

    1st Gen SRT8-Specific General Discussion
Welcome to the forum, patches1! We're very glad to have you aboard. :beerchug: Per your user info it appears that you have the 5.7 motor in your 300C, not the 6.1 liter 300C-SRT8. Is that correct? For, if so, you've made history, at least from a (multi) forums perspective, as no 5.7 has ever...
