  1. Exhaust options for 2016+ SRT

    Exhaust
Ok then, link us to the bullets. How long are they and what is the inlet size? What are some of the other options as far as bullet/hotdog straight through mufflers go?
  2. Exhaust options for 2016+ SRT

    Exhaust
So you've got Dynomax bullets where the mid-mufflers ordinarily be, right? Dunno why axle back systems like the Borla are so friggin expensive here in Australia. I'm not finding many alternative options. There's the Blastin Bobs, which my friend was SUPPOSED to bring back from the states for me...
  3. Exhaust options for 2016+ SRT

    Exhaust
Hello is this forum still alive? ::biggrin:: With my new car warranty ending in a matter of weeks it's time to butcher my exhaust but I'm having difficulty nailing down a choice of what I want and what will even work on my SRT. Y'see mine is the 8 speed with the electronic active exhaust...
  4. Active Exhaust Valves rattle at low revs

    Exhaust
As a bodge fix you could get underneath the car and twist the springs until the valves stay open. There were instructions posted in this forum somewhere but I can't find them.

Well I'm back, water pump replaced about 2 weeks ago now. I also took my car on a trip out west and it went fine. A few new rattles. You'd end up airborne if you went over some of those causeways too quick I reckon lol. Now I'm waiting to get my A/C blower motor replaced as well, the dealer has...

Not looking good for the export market for the 300 SRT from 2016 onward (in particular Australia). I thought the end of the Commodore and Falcon would have made people buy the SRT as an alternative, but I guess most decided to get the Mustang instead ::crying:: And the hyperblack chrome is now...

Listen in particular at the 1:20 mark in the video. Yes I did the stethoscope thing. With that it sounded like it could be the tensioner pulley instead I suppose but the water pump sounded like it was it for the first few minutes or so after a cold start. If it's the water pump I can't afford...

I only have the following evidence for you to decide: Apparent coolant stains but I'm not sure, could be just corrosion flinging off from dry bearings. Apart from this the coolant doesn't appear to be leaking, well, the fluid level in the reservoir isn't getting lower anyway. And these...

^ That'll do LOL Now I'm trying to sort out the logistical challenge of getting my SRT to a dealership I haven't boycotted yet. I'm assuming driving it 2.5 hours down the Pacific Hwy is a bit risky?

  13. Which year models have dodgy MDS lifters?

    2nd Gen SRT- General Discussion
I have a 2016 SRT (actually built December 2015). There was some talk in a 300 FB group about dodgy MDS lifters with stories from people having to get their whole engines replaced at 60,000km. My odo is kinda nearing that figure so I started freaking out. I mean I service my SRT right on time...

I could have sworn the airbags were fine in our SRT's. I even double checked on the Mopar website.
  15. Best performance tire choice?

    Tires
Is it 100% guaranteed that 275/40 will fit on the front? I have a 15% off promo code on top of the 3for4 deal at Beaurepaires for the Dunnies but they only come in that size.
  16. Best performance tire choice?

    Tires
Yeah I know that. KTAS will match the price if you see them cheaper online that's all (as long as the competing price online includes fitting & balancing like their prices do) Anyway my choices so far are: - Pirelli Pzeros on Tyroola or Tempe, 245/45 front and 275/40 rear. Old, cheap and...
  17. New tyres for my 2014 SRT8

    Tires
255/45 all around?! WHY AM I ONLY JUST LEARNING OF THIS POSSIBILITY??? Now I have to price everything all over again! Here I was wondering that link Piggy posted for the PS4S's, why are they $395 for him but $400 something when I go to search them on Tempe Tyres site in 275/40? Oh, now I see he...
  18. Best performance tire choice?

    Tires
I'm pretty sure the cost of an overnight trip to South Sydney would cancel out the savings lol. That's the thing, if I buy online and get them fitted by a third party I have to pay extra for the shipping and the fitting/balancing. If the ones I pick are $350 online, but I get a quote from a...
  19. Best performance tire choice?

    Tires
Wow how time flies, and here I am again shopping for tyres, this time for a full set of 4. But my mind is set on cheap out of date stock Pirelli's for $250 each online. My friend is going to ask an old mechanic of mine if he's willing to fit BYO tyres. My experiences walking into actual tyre...
  20. New tyres for my 2014 SRT8

I can't think of anyone who isn't running that setup.
