General Information

Pewter gray pearlcoat
RWD 5.7 liter V8
Got her in early August of 2019
The first car I ever owned was a beautiful 2005 Dodge Magnum with the 3.5 liter V6 in the cool vanilla with black rims and custom black spyder headlights. Unfortunately she was hit and run and I had minimal insurance at the time so I had to let her go.

My grandparents sold me their Toyota Prius, which was a good reliable car, but definitely lack-luster compared to the Magnum. So eventually, when the hybrid battery on the Prius died, I decided to finance something a little more fun to bring back some of the old joy I got from the magnum.

I settled on a Chrysler 300. Initially I wanted the John veratos that I saw listed online but when I got to the dealership it had already been sold. They showed me a different one, and after taking it for a spin I was convinced. It reminded me a lot of the Magnum only smoother and more stately feeling, slightly less agile, but quite a bit quicker. All the features I wanted were there except a moonroof, but I decided I could live without.

By and large it’s been a blast. A month or so after I got her she started acting different in a bit of a disconcerting way (shifting rough, hard downshift when you try to coast etc). I’ve seen on here people say to reset the PCM so that’s my next step. Fingers crossed. Doesn’t seem to be an immediate threat to the cars drive ability, she ultimately still performs like a champ and never fails to get me where I need to go. It’s the enjoyability of the driving experience that’s at stake, and that’s a big part of why I chose this car. Right now I can’t help but focus on all the clunks and groans and other strange symptoms while I’m driving. This makes me stressed out, so instead of having fun driving my car I’m just anxious. I keep worrying that it’s gonna fail eventually, but it’s been going on for a few months now and she’s still going strong. Hopefully gonna have this issue resolved in the very near future. I know my gas mileage will improve as will my horsepower. All I know is even though she’s been operating at less than 100% most of the time since I’ve owned her, I can’t help but love her anyway. I wanna keep this car for a long time. She’s got 95,000 now (88 when I bought it) and while I’m hoping it’s something simple like a PCM reset, even if I have to replace the trans I honesty would cuz I really love the car and I want to be driving it for a long time. Here’s what she looks like right after a car wash (got an unlimited car wash membership so I keep her sparkly)
