I know this has been raised before but what is the 0-60 time of the 300 C I read in articles ranging from 5.3 seconds to 6.0 seconds up to even 6.4 seconds. Having gone up against some other vehicles I know in the 5 second range and have beaten them 350 Z, G35 coupe for example I know I would have not been able to do that if the vehicle 0-60 time was 6.4 or even 6.0 seconds.

Depends on the driver, the weight of the driver, the coolness of the air, the temperature of the tires, Basically everyhting is a variable. Even the same person, on the same day in the same hour will not run the exact same 0-60 time every time...

Some of those tests might have been ESP on/off. You can't judge who's gonna win a race based on their 0-60 times.

So I would say none of those 0-60s are correct, because there is no correct answer.

Hi,

As was pointed out 0-60 times are quite variable due to weather conditions. Also the test methods can be quite variable as well. For example, some of the hot rod mags will play with the cars tire pressure and different launch techniques to get the best possible time. Car & Driver just drives the car as is. The result is that C&D times are usually slower than the hot rod mags will show and often slower than can be achieved by a skilled driver in his own car. It is my experience that C&D and Motor Trend 0 to 60 times are easliy beaten by a skilled drive who knows his car.
