1-2 Shift Hesitaion

2089 Views 12 Replies 13 Participants Last post by  Classy300C
I have been reading these forums for quite a while (while I'm waiting patiently for my 300C SRT8 to be built (living in Minnesota, I don't want mine until April or so)). I used to hear (see) lots of complaints about the hesitation in the 1-2 shift, but lately I haven't heard a peep about it. Does that mean that the TSB everyone was talking about worked (and all newly built cars don't have this issue)? Or has everyone dealt with it for so long that you don't even notice it anymore (though it's still there)?

Just curious,

issue or no issue

I have never noticed the issue with my SRT8 with build date of 8/25 . How noticible is this delay? As I have been practicing launching the vehicle, mainly now with the ESP "all off" of the 3 way switch, believe I would notice an obvious delay.

Does the delay only happen in manual mode? In manual shift mode I see this delay without a doubt. Yes, manual mode shifts so late that I dont even try it as it would just be guessing on each shift.

Is the delay only with ESP on? With ESP off, tire spin is the hard part of the launch, but definitely a noticable improvement in torque, throttle response, shifting and 0 - 60 times.
