Is having a 180 degree T in my car worth it if i dont have a chip installed?

Makes me wonder cause my car is setup to run in the 200 degree mark.. will that change my fuel mixture and all that if i go to a colder thermostat?

No significant change to operating temperatures in stop and go or high ambient temps will result.

You will find the car runs cooler on hot days when traveling at freeway speeds.

I'll probably end up going with the Jet thermostat.

Any known issues with the car possibly not running at optimum performance with a colder thermostat without the chip? Ive just heard people say you shouldnt put a colder stat in without programing the car for the certain part.

No programming needed. Some folks report a trouble code if they don't warm up the engine to optimum temp in cold weather - mostly due to short trips - but that's usually with a 170 deg tstat. Just remember to warm up the car good in the winter time and you'll be fine.
