The front door sill plates on the rocker panel have both developed a whitish corrosion around the logo. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this covered on the warranty? Regards, Bob.

Is that corrosion? I noticed it on the SRT8 too but paid it no mind since it seemed like I could scratch it off with my fingernail.

Ok this may sound like a dumb question and please don't take offense, but are you sure that the dealer didn't forget to remove the protective plastic from the door sills? It's easy to overlook and that happened on my car when it was new. I didn't even notice it for a couple days; when I peeled it off the logos looked a LOT better

My c has the same corrosion over the door steel plates but after taking a closer look it is exactly what Kevin said. It still has the protective plastic over it.

I really do feel dumb! You were right. There was a layer of very thin protective plastic on both of them. I even had the car detailed after I got it and they never noticed it either. After the rain the other day, here, I was cleaning off the sill from some mud that had accumulated from the bottom of my shoe when getting in and that's when I noticed the white "corrosion" . After peeling off the tape all is well. The tape had bubbled evidently from being wet. Thanks and best regards, Bob.

You guys were right. Removing the tape removed the "Suspected Corrosion". I feel like a fool. The tape was so thin it fooled the detailer too who also never noticed it. Thanks and best regards, Bob.

Hehe called dad, same here. I always do this. Had a microwave that after about a week the buttons started peeling. A friend came in my room and started peeling at them. I couldn't believe it "WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING?" and then he was just like "um...taking off the packing protection"
