Anyone know what this is??? Sounds scary.
"The OCS measures conditions for activation or deactivation of the passenger side front air bag based upon the weight of the occupant..."

Its a fancy name for a scale that measures the weight on the passenger seat.

i.e. if you let a fat chick get in the car, the EVIC would display "only single passenger allowed in passenger seat" and the car won't start until the situation is resolved to its satisfaction.

I still wanna know why they could not put a donut spare at least in this car. If you have a blowout, the Tire assistance kit aint gonna cut it. Anyone have an idea why? I do like the tire pressure monitor though. And the power folding mirrors.

OCS uses the weight of the passenger, the distance the passenger is sitting from the airbag, and the severity of the accident to determine whether or not the passenger airbag should deploy, and at what force.
About the spare..... as the outside diameter of the spare has to match the stock vehicles, would one even fit?
Having different sized tires on a rear axle can cause differential damage. I would imagine that is why there isn't a spare.
And why the hell is smokers group standard??? Damn germans!

I believe that the mirrors are "power adjust", "manual fold". The way Chrysler descibes this option is confusing. A lot of export models though do have the "power fold" feature.

I looked at the '06 spec/order sheet and it states it as power folding mirrors. It also shows this as a feature for the SRT 8 only, so they probably do have the power fold.

How come 6 Boston Acoustic speakers are still listed? I thought all of the 06s were gonna have the new Kicker system.

Bostons are standard, Kicker is an option. $135.

It looks like you are correct. The 300C SRT-8 domestic model lists a mirror sales code of "GU5S". The 2005/2006 export model "WH" Grand Cherokee also lists the same exact "GU5S" sales code and that model for sure has the power folding mirrors.

Are sure about this? From the Chrysler website, as well as the several SRT8 build sheets that I have seen the 7 BA speaker & subwoofer upgrade (over the BA 6 speaker and no subwoofer system) is available and also costs $135.

To futher stir the pot of confusion and misinformation, I have seen two different build sheets with the RC5 option selected with the $135 cost identified. One sheet identified the Kicker system as having 13 speakers and the other showed it as having 7 speakers. Again, both cost $135 and both were identified as RC5.

I am pretty sure. Keep in mind that the chrysler website is showing the 2005 srt 8, not the '06, so there is no Kicker option even listed. In my research I think the Kicker system will only be offered in the SRT 8.

The Kicker System REPLACES the 7 Speaker/368 Watt BA System for 2006. The BASE System in the 300C (2005 AND 2006) is the 6 Speaker BA System.

Comprende Vous?

Actually . . . it dosen't. Based on the absence of responses on the 13 vs. 7 Kicker speaker issue, I presume no one here has a clue.

Comprende Vous?
Yes...It Does.

Want Proof? Try ORDERING the BA 7 Speaker/Sub System on a 2006 SRT8. There is no BA option, according to my dealer.
