Does anyone have some idea for when the 2006's will be out? I'm going to buy probably within the month and would like some info on buying 05' vs 06' hemi.. I feel if I buy the 05', I'll have a 1 year old car in a month when the 06's come out? Any thoughts on when 06's coming out and resale differences?

Thanks

Rambit, you forgot to mention your location.

Here in Illinois the Chrysler dealers first offers are less than sticker. So now, you won't pay a markup depending on your area.

And every Chrysler dealer i've been to has a lot of C's on the lot.

There are a few of us that have ordered '06 300C's or have been bumped to an '06, me. There is no exact time table at the moment but build dates have been heard for the end of March with arrivals in middle/late June.

Regarding price difference, the dealer here is estimating a $600-$1000 price jump. I got locked in on the '05 price. :D

I've got an '06 on order, and it is supposed to be delivered June/July.
The '06 will have DRL, and Tire Pressure Monitoring Sys., and now will have a rear seat DVD sys. avaliable. Other that that it should be about the same.

Where did you hear about DRL's? Chrysler doesn't favor them unless it is a Canadian car.

It's the law in Canada for all new cars to have DLRs.
They really do reduce the chance of a mentally snoozing idiot running into you. It makes it easier for the brain to judge closing speed and distance.

I think Americans would require a Constitutional Amendment to make them law :p

DRL's are only available on fleet vehicles in the US. I saw it on the '06 order sheet/specs.

Thank goodness. I hate those things and I will not buy a vehicle if it comes with DRL's. Well maybe if I can disable the DRL's. Stupidest thing I ever saw on a 4 wheeler. Only motorcycles should have them.

I think you're in the minority on that one. Do you have any idea on this board alone how many people are trying to find a hack to enable it? It makes you more visable to oncoming traffic and just may save your life someday. Did you ever notice how hard it is to see a dark coloured vehicle at a distance, say for instance when you pull out to pass that semi into oncoming traffic? Change is good, stop resisting, sooner or later your leglislators will wake up and do something about it. Remember seat belts, helmets, safety glass...

DLRs are a no-brainer -- without them increased chance you can end up with no brains.

I think DRL's are basically a good idea when driving. I do think they should only operate when in gear. There are times when sy possibly battery trouble or just wanting to sit parked with engine on when they can be a nuissance.
Right now the good outweighs the bad, but we are going to connect ours through the D on our shifter via a contact switch.
