300C SRT-8: $39,370
Boston Accoustics: $235
Option Group I: $440
Option Group II: $1,965
Sunroof: $950
Gas Guzzler: $2,100
Total: $45,060 +destination (U.S. funds)

Destination was quoted to me as $625, but at delivery it had gone up to $675. Total MSRP for fully loaded U.S. model 2005 SRT-8 was $45,735.

yes, the new color is in there.
No, no ordering of SRT8 Magnums yet, but I will post when I see it, and they really better open ordering soon, 'cause I'm getting anxious for that bad boy.

Thanks rt4. I've "ordered" a MAGNUM SRT8 from the dealer.
Which really only means I've given them a deposit cheque.
While I like my dealer, this forum always has info before he is aware of it.

I'm getting a little tired of driving the '91 cavalier (make that the "ghettolier")

base price question for 2006

I have got a code of 21X-CPOS package for a base price of $41,695.00...
before the options.
is this marked-up from the $39,820.00 base price of 2006 listed earlier?
That would be $1,875.00

I would assume those of us who originally ordered 05's will be price protected? I know I am already protected from the GG tax, but the base price has gone up $450 from 05. Am I assuming right that they will price protect me and only charge me the 05 base price plus options plus destination????

Chris.... I'd assume that includes something other than base price, such as destination, etc. Or the old GG tax of 1700, which I have seen a few times.
Johnny.... yes, I believe you're protected against that 1%....did you mention Kicker?

Thanks for the heads up on the "old" GGT of $1,700...
My thinking is that the delaer rep. put in some profit for the dealer when the dealer rep. quoted me the "sticker" price...
Looks like that car is going to be drop shipped after all into San Diego now or delivered...
that won't fly...

PRICE PROTECTION

"Any sold 2005 MY vehicle that you have ordered but may not be built before changeover will be price protected, in accordance with the Price Protection Program rules in the Gold Book."


What you will NOT get for 2006:

The 7/70 Warranty, which ends with the 2005 Model Year.

ALL 2006 models go back to the 3/36 Warranty.

I assume you do not pay state (US) sales tax on the GGT and Destination Charge. Is that correct?
