First post here, but I have been checking out this forum for a few months while I was shopping for a 300C and finally I bought a new 2007 300c SRT Design Pkg and loaded the Navigation disc etc. and tried entering an address of a friends house in So.Cal and it does not show the street in the system, the house is 10-12 yrs old so I would think it should be in the system.
Any ideas, am I doing something wrong or did my new car come with an crap Nav disc.

Thanks

When you enter the street address, make sure you don't enter any "modifiers".

So for example:

"Anyplace Street" would be just "Anyplace"

"East Clover Avenue" would be just "Clover"

The system can be quite specific on how you enter a street, it doesn't match "close" stuff.

One way I've found works well is go look for a major street that is near your friend's street then scroll the map to your friend's street, click on the street and see what the GPS calls it.

This problem is not specific to the GPS in the REC unit, many GPS systems have similar issues, unlike Web services like Google Maps which does do lexical searches for close matches.
