If I keep my car & dont trade it in I wanna buy some rims but dont know if I should get 20's or 22's. I know 22's look better but will they ride better. To be honest i'll like 22's over 20's but i'll be on kinda a budget. I might pay upto $1,500 for a set.

Please post opinions.

Thanks Nick

P.S. I'll be buying these rims come like March. Gonna break them out for the spring.

I am still riding the stock rims, but I am in the 20" camp.
I have been looking for 20"inchers for a long time but have yet to find the perfect combination of weight (less than 28lbs) and looks.
The 22" weight and performance degradation, long term strain on the suspension. and having to drive carefully over holes/tracks and rough roads makes me not want 22". I even like the 20" look better with more tire showing. Pictures of 22"s look real good, but for some reason, when I see them in person they look odd and too big. If you want a 20" wheel to look closest to a 22", get a 275/40/20.

I've never heard anyone mention this argument, but it's always been in the back of my mind (I think I was just in denial). In person, 22s DO kinda look odd on the C doesn't it? I used to have 22s on my bagged F-150 and they looked fantastic in person, but the Cs that I've seen in person w/ 22s kinda look funny. Almost like they are too big (is that possible?). To me, it's more the front end that looks a little off.

I don't know. This is why I'm still deciding. I've come so close a couple of times at pulling the trigger and ordering my wheels but just CAN'T decide b/t 20s or 22s. . . . I guess I'm in the same boat as you  . . . . .

275/40/20 is the tire size correct ? Also are these like low profile size.

Thanks
275/40/20 is almost a perfect match to the 18" wheels.
Stock is 28.63" diameter. 275/40/20 are 28.66".
They are very wide and a tad bigger, helping to fill up the wheel well.

But the bigger tire is also heavier, so my preference is 255/45/20. This size is 29.04inches, which noticeably fills the wheel well.

I am also looking for a 8.5inch wide wheel vs. the 9.0inch.
The 8.5inch provides a little more tire bulge to protect the rim, and I think it looks a little better. The SRT8 is 9.0 inch wide, and there is very little tire bulge outside the rim.

The wheels base goes all the way out to the front facia and the larger wheels do look too big. It looks even bigger when the car is lowered. I think the car rides much better with the 20's. I rode in a c with 22's and it is not the same.
And snce the SRT8 comes OEM with 20's, that must be saying something.

20's or 22's

Just went for a oil change today. Afterward I asked the service guy what he thought of the 300's and if there were any problems that he was seeing with them. The guy said he liked the 300 but said "don't put 22's on the car". He went on to say that he is seeing 300's coming in with tranny problems as a result of the increased tire size. Something having to do with the car's computer and it not putting out the correct torque. He also stated that it voids your warrantee. I asked about 20's also. He said to stay with 18" wheels. I'm cured.

Angie300c's car has 255/45/20 and her car always looked lowered to me, which it is not.
And the two attachments are 255/45/20's MC2 wheels that are supposed to weigh close to the 18" stock rims, around 56 pounds. As of now, of all the 20" rims, these would be my first pick. I just wish they had different tires. Not a fan of the Toyo tires. Both rims are 8.5" wide.

IMO, the 22's look the best. It also depends on how much you drive. The more miles and the type of roads would decide the wheel size for me. I don't drive alot, I went more for the look.
Either way, hey, your drivin' a 300. It's all good!

heres my c sittin on 20's. i didnt want to sacrifice ride quality as i drive many miles on this rig....also i like a little sidewall on my tire, didnt want the floss look on the rubber of the 22's finally i didnt want to be burning thru tires. to each his own i guess. i like the looks of 22's on the C, IF the car is lowered...if not it looks a tad funny to me. 20's seem to look good even not lowered.
